About me

I am a mathematician at École polytechnique in France, where I teach mostly probability theory as a member of the Applied Mathematics Department and conduct research predominantly on continuum limits of random discrete combinatorial objects. Some key words are:

• probability theory & stochastic processes,
• random trees (in particular Bienaymé–Galton–Watson trees) & continuum trees (Lévy trees),
• random maps,
• stable laws and their domain of attraction,
• percolation and fires on trees,
• laminations of the disk,

Short bio

• grew up in France and studied mathematics at University Paris Diderot (now Université Paris Cité) and then University Paris-Sud (now Université Paris-Saclay) where I obtained a master's degree in 2012;
• spent three years in the Mathematics department of University of Zurich, where I prepared my PhD under the supervision of Jean Bertoin;
• then held for a year a postdoc position in the Probability lab, University Pierre et Marie Curie (now Sorbonne Université),
• continued with two years as postdoc in the Probability and Statistics group, University Paris-Sud (now Université Paris-Saclay),
• and finally closed this cycle with a last year of postdoc in the Combinatorics group, University Paris Diderot (now Université Paris-Cité), funded by the project ERC CombiTop of Guillaume Chapuy.
